Skate Parks

An Inverleith resident enquires

their is currently a debate going on with regards to the construction of a skate park in Inverleith Park. This is to replace the pitch and put that has not been used for years. People are complaining as this will not serve the local community and will ruin the enjoyment for those using it just now. Are we missing a point here in the fact that we should be broadening the appeal of the park or are some of the residents right in demanding the status quo is maintained.

One pearl of wisdom on “Skate Parks”

  1. Consultant G Says:

    Common sense suggests 3 things:
1/ People will always complain about change
2/ Skate parks generally never work because skaters are anti-establishment, and skate parks are put there by the establishment
3/ Skaters in that part of Edinburgh ? I don’ think so - awffie posh and all that.

Provide common sense...

A dodo. Well known for its common sense.
