HBOS bad day
A stock market person asks
Given the recent fun that is going on with the stock market is now the time to buy shares in HBOS. Two days running they have lost 20% of their value and so must be worth an investment?

Oooh, you should have bought those shares at 88p at 0900 this morning - half an hour later they were twice the value (and half an hour before too).
Surely this is all an imaginary phenomenon. How did we ever dream up such a bizarre system?

…and it continues. Now having been bought by Lloyds TSB for 232p HBOS shares are trading at 181p. Now I know it is not a cash offer but a shares offer but surely they should not be 50p off? Or am I missing something?

Well now it seems it is a bad day for everyone. Our banks are nationalised, Iceland is disappearing under water and Germany seems to be little better. Am sure 1001 people will claim they saw it coming but if they did how come the stock market did not react sooner. I think we all have to just sit down, relax and hold on!!
